Dr. Raymond E. Cleary, III

Dr. Cleary opened his dental practice in 1975 in Surfside Beach. During his 30 years in practice, Dr. Cleary has worked hard for his profession and community. He graduated from Ohio State University with a BA and DDS. He has served in the South Carolina Senate since 2004.

Dr. Julie Obenchain

Julie Obenchain grew up in Piqua, Ohio. She knew she wanted to be a dentist in the 6th grade. Following that passion she attended Bowling Green State University finishing in just 3 years. She then moved to Cleveland and earned her DDS degree at Case Western Reserve School of Dentistry. After graduating, Dr. Julie moved back to her hometown and completed a year residency at the V.A. Hospital in Dayton before going into private practice.

She realized her love for the ocean while making many trips to the beach. She sold her practice in Ohio and joined Glenns Bay Dental in 2004.

She is a member of the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, and regularly participates in Give Kids a Smile.

Beyond being an accomplished dentist, Dr. Julie is the proud mother of two daughters and one son. In her free time she enjoys running and spending time with her family.

Dr. Edward H. Goldberg, IV (Ed)

Dr. Goldberg attended:

  • Graduated from the College of Dental Medicine Medical University of SC in 1978

  • Private Practice- Glenns Bay Dental Surfside Beach, SC 1992-Present

Dr. Goldberg has been in private practice as a general dentist for over 30 years. He grew up and experienced the field of dentistry at a young age, since his Great-Grandfather, Edward H. Goldberg, Sr., and his Grandfather, Edward H. Goldberg, Jr. both were practicing dentists. The early experiences with dentistry helped steer Dr. Goldberg into a career in dentistry himself.

Working at Glenns Bay Dental, Dr. Goldberg looks forward to the challenges his patients and dental practice present to him. He enjoys all the phases of dentistry, but considers the restorative and esthetic aspect of bonding, crown and bridge, and implant dentistry to be his forte.

Dr. Goldberg loves taking on new patients and looks forward to helping them with their dental needs and ultimately, providing them with a "new smile."

Dr. Hal Capps

Dr. Capps grew up in Myrtle Beach and knew at an early age that he wanted to stay in the area. He graduated from the Citadel and received his DMD Degree from the Medical University of S.C in 1994. He then returned to his hometown and joined the Glenns Bay Dental team in 1995.

Dr. Capps enjoys all the challenges and rewards of practicing dentistry. He is a member of numerous professional organizations including the ADA, SCDA, and the Grand Stand Dental Society (past president). He has always been excited about being on the cutting-edge of dentistry, because of this he attends numerous continuing education seminars and invests in current technology. This enables him to provide excellent, individualized care to all of his patients. Dr. Capps volunteers his time to help many uninsured and under-insured children in the the community by providing dental care for them.

Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family and spending time outdoors.

Working with the doctors are a staff of front desk workers, hygienists, dental assistants and an office manager helping to keep the office on schedule, and helping patients with anything they may need.
